P.A.L.S. (Parents as Leaders Succeed) is a parent/teacher coalition that is different from a typical PTO. Within P.A.L.S., we hope to implement big changes in the everyday experiences of our families, students, and staff. To do this, we work to improve organization, communication, and community through smaller committees within our larger group. Staff liaison, Lexi Powers, is the lead organizer and communicator between the group, committees, and administration. Big changes can be hard to get started, but we work to meet these challenges as a team. Members of this group make a lasting impact on the overall culture of our school. Some of their accomplishments include: organizing social events for students and families, coordinating the Staff Appreciation Week, building an elementary school sports program, and increasing volunteerism by staff and families.
